 As we have seen in the past few weeks, Hurricane Harvey has left massive destruction in Texas.  Some UAW members and their families work and live in those areas and have been affected.

We have received many requests from our locals as to where they can send donations to assist with Hurricane Harvey.

The 19thBiennial Convention of the Coalition of Labor Union Women (CLUW) will convene on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, and will continue through Saturday, September 9, 2017, in Detroit, Michigan.  The theme for this year’s CLUW Convention is “Women:  Taking it to the Streets.  The convention hotel is the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center.

 The UAW 2017 National Veterans Conference will be held at the Walter and May Reuther UAW Family Education Center, October 8-13, 2017.

The Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance’s (APALA) 14th Biennial Convention will convene on Wednesday, August 16 and continue through Sunday, August 20, 2017. The convention hotel is the Hilton Anaheim, Anaheim, California.

In order to take full advantage of all the activities at the convention, we recommend a Tuesday, August 15 arrival in Anaheim and a departure on Sunday, August 20.

The 33rd Annual UAW Civil and Human Rights Conference will be held Sunday, August 27 through Friday, September 1, 2017, at the Walter and May Reuther Family Education Center.

Registration of delegates will be held on Sunday, August 27, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Main Gate. Attendance is limited to delegates only.
