The objectives of the Council are: to coordinate all the activities of UAW local unions and units of amalgamated local unions within Region 2-B who have technical, office and professional members; to act as a clearinghouse of information; to assist with organizing technical, office and professional employees; and to provide the greatest amount of security for all technical, office and professional members within the jurisdiction of the council.

The objective of this Council is to assist in organizing, to improve working conditions, increase wages and strive toward standardization of contracts and apprenticeship programs. Also to bring about a better understanding of the common problems of the skilled tradesmen by our exchange of views and information, thereby affording us a better opportunity to make known our views, in the best interest of the UAW skilled tradesmen, to the Director of Region 2-B  and the International Union.            

The mission of the I.P.S. (Competitive Shop)  Leadership Council is to secure and improve the standard of living, working conditions and social justice for its workers and to continue to educate, organize and strengthen the unity of its members.

                                                    

To unite into one organization regardless of race, creed, color, sex, political affiliation or nationality, age, handicap, marital status or sexual orientation, all employees under the jurisdiction of the International Union, Region 2-B. To organize all UAW Local Union Civil Rights Committees into an effective, anti-discrimination instrument for the specific purpose of implementing the policies, procedures and programs of the International Union, United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America, in accordance with the Constitution of the UAW.

Chaplaincy Advisory Council
The principle function of the Region 2-B Chaplaincy Committee will be to be responsible for all of the business and administrative affairs of the Regional Chaplaincy program.
