Take Action

Union members in the public sector are once again under attack and need our support. The Snyder-appointed Civil Service Commission is using the cover of a global pandemic to engage in underhanded union busting targeted at State of Michigan workers. This is not only an attack on dedicated state employees, but also their ability to provide quality public services to the people of Michigan. At a time when state workers have been on the frontlines of protecting the people of Michigan from the coronavirus, these anti-worker commissioners are trying to undermine the right of state employees to collectively bargain. Stand with our brothers and sisters and tell the Civil Service Commission to end these anti-union attacks.

We are updating our Bylaws as requested by International Union. The changes will include updates needed due to no longer having acive local and new language about associate members to give them voice and vote and ability to run for some offices if unable to get retiree to run. This was voted on and passed at December 18 2019 meeting. They are now active and have been sent to International for final approval.

1111 Retiree Meetings  will normally be held the third Wednesday of each month. July and September meetings may be moved to 4th Wednesday if there is a conflict with multiple officers needing to be out of state the same week on union business. November and December meetings will be catered as long as there are enough funds to support these functions. Please bring a covered dish to  all other meetings. Chapter will supply meat
