Phone Blitz to Call Lorain County Commissioners & Demand They Settle the JFS Strike for $1/Hour Raises
We are past ONE MONTH on strike at Lorain County Job and Family Services! We are blown away by the outpour of support from the community.
On March 25, UAW Local 2192 members at JFS will have our first sit-down with the County Commissioners in a state-mandated mediation over unfair labor practice charges we filed in February.
In the days leading up to that critical moment, we’re setting up a phone line for our sisters and brothers across Lorain County that stand with us to take action alongside with our members.
You will be automatically connected to one of these offices:
- 1. Commissioner David Moore
- 2. Commissioner Marty Gallagher
- 3. Commissioner Jeff Riddell

Lorain County Job and Family Services workers deserve $1 raises and retro pay! You can end this strike TODAY if you get back to the table with UAW Local 2192. Every single day that you delay action and refuse to meet with your workforce to work toward a settlement is another day Lorain County residents are put at risk. This isn’t just about workers — it’s about the stability of vital public services. It’s time Lorain County Commissioners follow the law, return to the table, and do what is right for the people of Lorain County.
