Rick is a native of Austintown, Ohio, and a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Prior to his employment with General Motors, Rick worked for Foley Medical as a respiratory and anesthesia sales rep, and owner of a construction company. He became a 2nd generation UAW member in 1999 at Local 1112 when he started working at the GM Lordstown Assembly Plant working in many departments, including Final Body Fit, Bodyshop A & B side, and Trim Shop.

In 2010, Rick was elected to the 3rd shift bargaining unit and served three terms. In 2016, he was elected to fill the unexpired term for the position of Financial Secretary. He served Local 1112 in that role until General Motors announced its closing of the facility in 2018 and then he transferred to UAW Local 652 in Lansing, Michigan. During his time at Local 1112, he was a Member-At-Large on the local union’s Retiree Executive Board and was a liaison for the Community Services and Next Generation Committees. In 2018, he was appointed to the 37th Constitutional Convention Committee where he was elected Chair of the Constitution Committee.

 In December 2022, Rick was appointed as Assistant Director of Region 2B by Director Dave Green. In this role, Rick assists Servicing Reps with contract negotiations, grievances and more.

 Rick has been married to his wife Bobbi Jo since 1991, and they have two sons, Robby and Dalton.
